My clients were a couple in their 30s with two children. Both children were of primary school age. They were about to go on their family holiday. They thought it would be a good idea to make Wills for the first time before they travelled.
I was able to help prepare a pair of Wills for them, in the time frame they wanted. They had peace of mind that they had appointed guardians to look after the children in case they both died before the children are 18. We also discussed various scenarios, plan A, plan B, and plan C. We discussed who is best placed to control the purse strings to their estate if they both died. Although it can be a difficult topic the relief when this is crossed off the to-do list is huge.
